Entries Open for the 2025 South African Dairy Championships. Dairy manufacturers across South Africa are invited to participate in the prestigious 2025 South African Dairy Championships, the country’s largest and oldest dairy competition. Hosted by Agri-Expo since 1834, this celebrated event is now in its 192nd year and continues to be a benchmark for excellence in the dairy industry.

Each year, the championships attract approximately 1,000 entries from manufacturers of all sizes—large, medium, and small—competing for top honours. Awards include:

  • SA Champion titles for class winners.

  • The ultimate Product of the Year award for the highest-scoring product overall.

With over 100 classes, the competition spans a diverse range of products such as cheese, yoghurt, milk, cream, butter, and ice cream.

Breyton Milford, General Manager of Agri-Expo, highlights the significance of the championships: “This competition allows manufacturers to measure themselves against the best in the business. We are proud to support the industry through this platform, made possible with the backing of our platinum partners, IMCD and DSM-Firmenich, and other sponsors.”
