IMM Institute Gala Dinner to Honour Leaders in Marketing and Supply Chain

IMM Institute Gala Dinner to Honour Leaders in Marketing and Supply Chain. The IMM Institute Annual Gala Dinner will return this year, bringing together professionals from marketing, supply chain management and business leadership to recognise achievement across these sectors in South Africa. The event is positioned as an evening dedicated to celebrating individuals and organisations whose work continues to influence their industries.
The dinner is scheduled to take place on 8 May at The Venue in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg. Nominations for the IMM Institute Excellence Awards are open until the end of March, giving colleagues, managers, peers and organisations time to put forward deserving candidates.
IMM Institute CEO Irene Gregory said the awards will again shine a spotlight on standout performance. She noted that the programme is intended to highlight excellence in marketing, supply chain and business leadership, and expressed anticipation about seeing leading professionals acknowledged on stage during the ceremony.
The gala dinner is expected to draw a wide range of marketing and supply chain practitioners for an evening that combines formal recognition with networking opportunities. This year’s event will be headlined by sponsor Kwikot, a South African manufacturer of geysers established in 1903.
Kwikot Managing Director Murray Crow said supporting the awards is an opportunity to celebrate the talent and leadership shaping the country’s business environment. He added that the company values integrity, reliability and pride in delivery as core elements of excellence.
Awards are open across multiple categories. In marketing, these include Marketing Student of the Year, Emerging Marketer of the Year, Marketer of the Year, Corporate Marketing Team of the Year and Lifetime Achievement in Marketing.
Supply chain categories include Supply Chain Student of the Year, Supply Chain Professional of the Year, Corporate Supply Chain Team of the Year, Emerging Supply Chain Practitioner Award and Lifetime Achievement in Supply Chain.
The business awards have been expanded to include, alongside Entrepreneur of the Year, a Sustainability Impact Award. This category recognises individuals, teams or organisations embedding sustainability and social responsibility into marketing or supply chain practices. Another category, Best Integrated Marketing and Supply Chain Initiative of the Year, focuses on collaboration that delivers measurable business results.
Lifetime Achievement Awards honour individuals whose careers have had a lasting industry impact. All entries must include full supporting documentation, and finalists and winners will be selected by an independent panel of senior practitioners and thought leaders. Organisers said they look forward to welcoming nominees and guests for the annual celebration this May.
