Akahlulwa Ncokazi, who comes from the rural village of Qorha near Dutywa, released her book, LIPHUPHA LAM ELI, in January. The young author is currently a Grade 11 learner at EJS Skenjana Senior Secondary School in Qora, Eastern Cape.
The publication of the book marks a significant achievement for the teenager, who has become a published author while still completing her high school education. Her accomplishment highlights the growing role that young people are playing in promoting indigenous languages and encouraging literacy within their communities.
