Mining Elites in Africa 2027 Opens Nominations. Nominations have officially opened for the 2027 edition of Mining Review Africa’s Mining Elites in Africa, inviting the mining industry to recognise the companies, projects and individuals making significant contributions to the continent’s mining and minerals sector.
The annual publication celebrates achievements across a range of categories, highlighting leadership, innovation, operational excellence and environmental stewardship within Africa’s mining industry.
The 2027 edition will be guided by the theme, “Mining Beyond Tomorrow”, which reflects the industry’s focus on sustainability, innovation and responsible growth alongside resource development.
According to the organisers, the theme also recognises the sector’s commitment to delivering lasting environmental, social and economic value while creating meaningful benefits for communities, businesses and future generations.
Mining Elites in Africa provides an opportunity for industry professionals to acknowledge organisations, projects and individuals that are advancing sustainable mining practices across the continent. The publication aims to showcase achievements that are helping shape the future of Africa’s mining industry.
The 2027 nomination categories include Leaders, Emerging Leaders, Future of Mining, ESG and Project.
The organisers are encouraging nominations for inspiring leaders, innovative projects and organisations that are contributing to the ongoing development of the mining sector.
Nominations will remain open until 15 September 2026, after which submissions will be considered as part of the selection process for the 2027 publication.
