Thebe Magugu is widely known as the founder of Thebe Magugu. Here are 10 Things you should know about Thebe Magugu.

1. Thebe Magugu is a young designer based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
2. Originally from the small town of Kimberley, he moved to Johannesburg to study fashion design, fashion photography and fashion media from LISOF.
3. After winning best graduate collection, he interned and worked for a selection of designers fashion institutions and retailers.
4. After 2 years, he began his namesake label, THEBE MAGUGU .
5. He jetted off to Paris on Thursday to represent SA in the LVMH (Moët Hennessy-Louis Vuitton – French fashion house) contest created by Louis Vuitton’s executive vice-president, Delphine Arnault.
6. The 25-year-old also walked away as the winner of the International Fashion Showcase 2019 at London Fashion Week last month, where he was hailed “a leader of his generation”.
7. He maintains that fashion was imbedded in his DNA before he was born and that the women in his life inspired him to pursue his passion.
8. His mother has had the biggest influence on him.
9. She pushed him to pursue my dream after having found sketches of women he did as a child and what looked like clothes on them.
10. Magugu went on to study at the prestigious school of fashion, Lisof, where he also learnt the discipline of fashion media as well as photography.
