iFele is based in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal and was founded in the year 20216. The unique shoes are made from pure leather, with a touch of rubber. The contemporary African footwear brand uses a modern twist in Zulu sandals knows as; Imbadada.

4. Corks:

Corks is fairly new in the shoe making industry, with having started trading last year. According to the owner of the brand, Seb Matheson, he described his business in these words: “After lots of research and speaking to Portuguese suppliers, I eventually quit my corporate job and started a sneaker company. I wanted to create a shoe that was going to tick a couple of boxes.”

5. Matshidiso:

The owner of this brand, Jinae Heyns, formed Matshidiso, armed with only her marketing background. The brand was founded in 2017 and is currently based in Cape Town. With the help of her mother in law, who had experience in dance factory specialising in ballet and ballroom, brand Matshidiso soon became a success.
