SA Rapper Blxckie Announces His Partnership With Redbat. South African rapper Blxckie took to Twitter to announce that he has partnered with Redbat in order to create a t shirt collection that is set to be available in stores from the 27th of May 2022.
The post read, “this friday redbat & i are coming with the flyest collab to celebrate the anniversary of my debut album, B4NOW ! i’m also the first south african artist to have his own redbat music culture tee. make sure u cop urself this limited swag this friday at selected sportscene stores.” Sihle Sithole, commonly known as Blxckie, is a South African rapper. In early 2021, he was named Apple Music’s Up Next artist.
The rapper announced this deal when he was celebrating earning over 10 plaques since he released his debut Album ‘B4Now’ last year. Redbat is a South African streetwear brand that was established by Sportscene. Respected as the kings of sneakerwear, sportscene is an authorised retailer of footwear and clothing from iconic street-inspired brands including Redbat, Nike, Air Jordan, adidas Originals, PUMA, Converse and Vans. Throughout the years the brand has collaborated with a lot of South African Hip Hop artists such as Nadia Nakai and have given them a chance to enter into a partnership with a big clothing brand and be able to create merchandise for their fans.
This is beneficial to the artists as Sportscene is a well known brand that will give the artists more credibility on terms of their brand value. This strategic partnership will seek to result in a fruitful business partnership and be possibly the start of a long term working relationship between Redbat and Blxckie.
