Dutch Multinational Paint Company AkzoNobel Details Its Expansion Plans To South Africa. Dutch Multinational Paint company AkzoNobel has announced that it has acquired African paints and coatings activities from Kansai Paint. This acquisition is part of the company’s plan to further expand its operations into the country and strengthen its African footprint.
“Acquiring Kansai Paint’s activities in the region will help us to further expand our paints and coatings business in Africa and provide a strong platform for future growth,” AkzoNobel CEO, Thierry Vanlancker said in a statement. “Kansai Paint shares our commitment to innovation and sustainability, and we look forward to combining our expertise, which will result in a wider range of innovative products and more sustainable solutions for our customers.”
