Arkema Announces The Acquisition Of Permoseal, A Leader In Adhesive Solutions. Arkema has finalized the acquisition of Permoseal. Permoseal is a leader in adhesive solutions for DIY, packaging, and construction with a strong presence in South Africa. Its well-known brands, including Alcolin® and expansive range of high-performance #adhesivesolutions, will complement Bostik’s (Arkema’s subsidiary) offering in the region, strengthening its position in this market.

Permoseal was established in 1949 and has maintained a solid reputation as a leading manufacturer and supplier of a wide range of adhesives, sealants and DIY products for general and specialised applications in the consumer, construction and industrial markets throughout the African continent. Permoseal was the first company to launch Cold Glue to the South African market in 1954 and in 1963 Permoseal concluded a licensing agreement with Ebnother of Switzerland to begin local manufacturing.
