Lwazi Bam is widely known as the CEO of Deloitte Southern Africa. Here are 10 Things you should know about Lwazi Bam.

1. Lwazi joined Deloitte in 1994 and was appointed to the partnership in 2003.
2. He was appointed Chief Executive of Deloitte Southern Africa on 1 June 2012 and Chief Executive of Deloitte Africa on 1 June 2013.
3. He is also a member of the Deloitte Global Executive Committee.
4. Prior to this, he served on the Deloitte Global Board and on its Risk and Strategy Review Committees.
5. Lwazi served in a number of roles including being a member of the Deloitte Southern Africa Board of Partners and Directors, holding executive responsibility for the firm’s strategy and the Corporate Finance service area, and was the Head of Mergers and Acquisitions Advisory.
6. His portfolio of Corporate Finance experience covers valuations, due diligence and mergers and acquisitions.
7. His work has covered many industry sectors including transportation, financial services, fuel and fleet management, technology, media and services.
8. Lwazi is a former member of the Securities Regulation Panel (SRP) and is a past President of the Association of Black Accountants of Southern Africa (ABASA).
9. He is also the Chairman of the African Children’s Feeding Scheme.
10. Lwazi is the Chief Executive Officer for Deloitte Africa and Southern Africa, leading the firm since 1 June 2012.
