Meet Sebenza Women Awards Founder, Kini Shandu widely known as a radio and television personality. The entrepreneur and actor best known for co-hosting the weekday show The Big bang on Gagasi FM. He made his acting debut in 2016 when cast in the recurring role of Shaun , a laywer on SABC 1 soap opera Uzalo. Shandu is currently hosting the daily midmorning show called Daily Thetha on SABC 1.
His project Sebenza Women Awards is currently on it’s 2nd year and set to take place at AHA Gateway Hotel on the 30th of October.
Shandu rose to fame following a long journey of hard work, dedication and resilience and it’s the epicentre of his inspiration is his mother who has been his pillar of strength in his emancipation and growth in his personal and professional life. The motive behind these awards goes back into his rural upbringing at Enseleni, Northen KZN where women continues to rise in the midst of conservative male dominance and societal stigmatization of women despite added effort from them to rise to the occasion.
