Lady luck must have been smiling down on 22 year old poultry farmer, Sinenhlanhla Ngubane when an unfortunate incident took a better turn.
When Sne Ngubane’s story hit the public, whereby an unknown person, broke into her chicken house and brutally killed 174 of her chickens and stole 6 – many were left saddened for her.
Thereafter and swiftly so, fellow entrepreneurs such as Calvin Mathibedi, Siyanda Ntenga and Angie Khumalo came forward to pledge their support in a form of donation. True to their word, they and many others lived up to their promises.
Taking to Facebook, Sne Ngubane wrote a heartfelt and length message – thanking all who lent their time and resources towards her.
A total amount of R10,260 was raised, which saw Sne purchasing building equipment such as building blocks, cement, feeders and drinkers. In her Facebook post, Sne mentioned that an extended and more secure chicken coop will be built this week.
”I would like to take this opportunity and thank everyone that helped me out i was not even expecting what you guys did for me i will forever be grateful for what people did for me. the total contribution from people was R10260 which I manage to buy cement, feeders, drinkers and other things… i will be extending the chicken coop starting from tomorrow..kuwo wonke umuntu who shared my post, calls and messages ngiyabonga ngyabonga kakhul .”
