Crypto Exchange Luno Launches The Luno Large Cap Bundle For South African Investors

Crypto Exchange Luno Launches The Luno Large Cap Bundle For South African Investors. There are more than 10,000 cryptocurrencies available today, and in such a young industry it’s likely that not all of them will rise to the top. That’s why many investors prefer to invest in the potential success of an entire technology or industry rather than individual companies, often through an index that tracks the biggest and best performing companies in that sector to give representative returns of an investment in that particular industry or market.

The new Luno Large Cap bundle aims to let investors do just that with cryptocurrency, giving them an easy way to invest in the majority of the market with the tap of a button. This bundle updates every quarter, so it always includes the biggest cryptocurrencies for optimal market investment coverage and to ensure better performing assets are included and weaker performing assets are removed. The Luno Large Cap is also weighted so investors always own more of the bigger coins for optimal market coverage.

The Large Cap bundle tracks an index called the CoinDesk Large-Cap Select Index (DLCS). The DCLS is designed to measure the market capitalisation weighted performance of some of the largest and most liquid digital assets that meet certain trading and custody requirements, which also updates every three months. The index aims to always cover at least 70% of the crypto market by total value, which means investors can hope to see returns on their investment representative of an investment in the overall crypto market. It does this while excluding certain coins that do not meet their eligibility criteria, which ensures they are built with a specific and necessary use case – so investors can be confident their bundle will never include any memecoins.

CoinDesk is a thought leader in the cryptocurrency industry and knows better than most which cryptocurrency projects hold more promise than others. They have used their many years of industry experience and created an index made up of five of the 10 largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation.
