Then, during the second year, I was juggling school, family and work because my maternity leave was over. My husband made the load lighter by creating an environment that was conducive for me to focus on my studies.” said Ngxongo in a UKZN blog.

“Being a woman in society is never an easy task. There are so many demands, wishes and expectations that many sometimes falter under. I have personally encountered women who are lost, scared and have no idea what their contribution to society should be. I want to encourage you to be encouraged by love. All of us must use our journey of life including our business and careers to do the work that fulfills us and, most importantly, that impact lives.” Ngxongo added.

“Too many Black females battle to break into male dominated industries such as the petroleum retail industry. They struggle to access funding from financial institutions which is necessary for their business to survive as they do not have inheritance or enough savings to access this industry. Secondly, those who are able to pass the finance stage and get funding often find themselves with yet another challenge. They do not have enough experience to handle the pressures of this industry and the complexity of running this business which runs twenty four-hours a day and incorporates different business streams.” Ngxongo told Ndaba Online.
