2026 Eco-Logic Awards Spotlight South Africa’s Growing Green Economy. South Africa’s environmental entrepreneurs, conservationists and organisations are being recognised among the finalists for the 2026 Eco-Logic Awards, as the awards mark their 15th year of highlighting sustainability leadership across the country.
This year’s finalists include sustainable fashion brand GuguByGugu, FreeMe Wildlife, Project 90 by 2030, Nature Connect’s Sustainable Schools Online Hub, FoodForward SA, Wessa and Greenpop’s Reforest Fest.
The finalists represent a range of initiatives addressing environmental challenges through conservation, climate action, waste management, water security, sustainable fashion, health, education and community development.
The Eco-Logic Awards said the selection reflects the growing role of sustainability within South Africa’s economy, with organisations developing solutions that aim to conserve resources, restore ecosystems, support communities and create economic opportunities.
David Parry-Davies, founder of the Eco-Logic Awards and editor of The Enviropaedia, said the awards have evolved alongside the country’s environmental innovation landscape.
He said sustainability has increasingly moved beyond a niche area to become an important driver of innovation and enterprise.
The 2026 finalists include FreeMe Wildlife, Lapalala Wilderness School and the Shield Elephant Shepherd Programme in the Nature Conservation category.
Project 90 by 2030 is among the finalists in the Climate Change category, alongside Greenpeace Africa’s Clean Air Campaign and Lapalala Wilderness School.
GuguByGugu is competing in the Eco-Fashion and Lifestyle category against Aard Footwear and Nyambose Group’s Ubuntu Curve.
FoodForward SA is among the Circular Economy and Waste Innovation finalists, alongside Uthando (Love) South Africa’s Waste to Wonder and the UTTE Circular Construction Urban Systems Initiative.
Other categories include Eco-Innovation, Water Conservation, Eco-Health and Wellness, Eco-Friendly Home Products, Eco-Community, Eco-Hospitality and Tourism, Eco-Angel and Eco-Warrior.
The awards also highlight individuals contributing to environmental causes, including Delanie Bezuidenhout, Michelle Henley and Siyabonga Stengana in the Eco-Angel category.
Gold, Silver and Bronze winners will be announced on 5 October 2026 at the Two Oceans Aquarium in Cape Town, during a ceremony coinciding with World Habitat Day.
