Google Co-Founders Larry Page And Sergey Brin Join The Elite $100 Billion Net Worth Club. Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin joined the exclusive club last week, entering a group dominated by U.S. tech entrepreneurs, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. The world’s eight richest people together hold fortunes of more than $1 trillion and have added $110 billion combined this year.

According to Bloomberg, U.S shares climbed to a fresh record on Friday on optimism over the economic recovery. The tech-focused Nasdaq 100 Index has risen more than 7% this year, with Google parent Alphabet Inc. rallying for the past two weeks as it won a copyright ruling. Page and Brin have added more than $20 billion each to their wealth this year, some of the biggest gains. Larry Page’s net worth is estimated to be $103.6 billion while his partner Sergey Brin’s net worth is estimated to be $100.2 billion.

The two founded Google while they were still Ph.D. students at Stanford University in 1996. They first created PageRank that was known as the technology that helps to analyse the relationship between several websites, and they named their search engine BackRub that was later known as Google.

Together they own about 14% of its shares and control 56% of the stockholder voting power through super-voting stock. Google was incorporated in California on September 4, 1998. Google was then reincorporated in Delaware on October 22, 2002. In July 2003, Google moved to its headquarters in Mountain View, California, nicknamed the Googleplex. The company became a public company via an initial public offering (IPO) on August 19, 2004. In October 2015, Google reorganised as a subsidiary of a conglomerate called Alphabet Inc. Google is Alphabet’s largest subsidiary and is a holding company for Alphabet’s Internet interests. Sundar Pichai was appointed CEO of Google, replacing Larry Page, who became the CEO of Alphabet.

Google LLC is an American multinational technology company that specialises in internet-related services and products, which include online advertising technologies, a search engine, cloud computing, software, and hardware. It is considered one of the five Big Tech companies alongside Amazon, Facebook, Apple, and Microsoft.
