Sony’s PlayStation Reveals How Many PS5 Consoles It Has Sold Globally. Video game brand PlayStation took to Twitter to announce that it has sold 10 million consoles of its latest PS5 Console. The post read, “It’s official: PS5 has sold 10 million consoles. Thank you!”

The brand also released a statement that sought to thank its supporters for helping them reach this milestone. “We are thrilled to announce that as of July 18th, 2021, we have sold more than 10 million PlayStation 5 consoles globally. This makes PS5 the fastest-selling console in the history of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and we couldn’t be more excited about the amazing response of our fans.” The company said in the statement.

Pushing through supply challenges and a global pandemic, the company is proud to have delivered a transformational gaming experience that is captivating players around the world. Everyone at SIE put their all into making the PlayStation experience better than ever.

“We are incredibly grateful to our fans for the terrific reception of PS5 and our growing portfolio of gaming entertainment. PlayStation is a video game brand that consists of five home video game consoles, as well as a media centre, an online service, a line of controllers, two handhelds and a phone, as well as multiple magazines. The brand is produced by Sony Interactive Entertainment, a division of Sony; the first PlayStation console was released in Japan in December 1994, and worldwide the following year.
