Maison Courvoisier Unveils Its New Look

On Wednesday, the 29th of June, the Most Awarded Cognac House* hosted a prestigious event at Inimitable in the Cradle of Humankind. Courvoisier proudly unveiled a new bottle design and presented global “Ambassador of Joy” Yinka Ilori, who flew in from London specially to meet South Africa’s media. The event perfectly captured the joie de vivre that the brand is known for.

Courvoisier welcomed esteemed guests, media and influencers to an event that brought out the “joie de vivre”, the joy of living, in everyone. To add art and luxury to the experience, a one-of-a-kind table designed by Yinka Ilori, which was inspired by the river that flows alongside Maison Courvoisier in Jarnac and seats 120 people, was brought in from New York. Guests were seated along the table and enjoyed beautiful food and exquisite Courvoisier cocktails. Ilori designed the table as a functional art installation and guests had the opportunity to fully appreciate its joyful colours and lines.

Courvoisier’s Ambassador of Joy Yinka Ilori
Yinka Ilori is a London-based multidisciplinary artist, best known for fusing his subject with his British-Nigerian background to create unique and memorable stories through contemporary design.
“For me, the essence of joy is through the use of colour. It makes people smile, it brings people together and delivers a natural sense of conviviality,” said Yinka Ilori. “Like Courvoisier, each piece of my work is inspired by community, a celebration of the fabric of collective energy. This is embodied in the Courvoisier table.”

New Bottle design

Courvoisier has redefined the cognac category with a new brand look that embodies the French belief of “joie de vivre.” The new look rediscovers distinctive trends that made Courvoisier iconic during the Belle Époque era of the 19th century, the opening of the Eiffel Tower in 1889 and while gracing the royal courts of Europe during the 20th century.
“We are entering a new era for Courvoisier,” said Managing Director for Maison Courvoisier Jon Potter. “This is an exciting time for our Maison, as we go back to our roots and embrace what

Courvoisier was founded on by Félix Courvoisier. From our home in Jarnac to our portfolio of beautiful, floral cognacs, our house believes in being welcoming to all.”

A cognac that transcends the category, Courvoisier lends itself to festive, daytime consumption with sessionable, slow-drinking cocktails such as The Gala. For more information and suggested serves, please visit
