Kenter Holdings Aims To Give Back To Its Community Through Mentoring Budding Entrepreneurs. Having an entrepreneurial spirit and experience as the head of his own company, Ngoako Thupana uses his skills to mentor budding entrepreneurs on their journey to success. Shortly after completing his national diploma in entrepreneurship at the Tshwane University of Technology in July 2020, Thupana created Kenter Holdings. The company breeds and sells broiler chickens to local restaurants, and also acts as a mentoring organisation aimed at inspiring and upskilling members of the local community.

Kenter Holdings Pty LTD is a poultry farming entity. The project is situated in Terwshen Village, approximately 15km West of Blouberg Town of Limpopo province. The intension of the project is to produce broilers and layers. The project was established and registered in 2020 as a strategy of alleviating poverty through food products, creation of employment opportunities and income generation.

Its vision is to produce high quality broiler and eggs. Its mission is the generation of income and creation of employment for sustainable growth and development. The company’s objectives include adding value to the farms produce and improve the farming infrastructure. Poultry farming is the form of animal husbandry which raises domesticated birds such as chickens, ducks, turkeys and geese to produce meat or eggs for food. It has originated from the agricultural era. Poultry – mostly chickens – are farmed in great numbers.

Broiler or meat chickens are very profitable if done correctly. They grow from a 1 day old chick to a fully grown 2.8 kg chicken in just 6 weeks. Industries like these are mostly dominated by old companies that have extensive experience. Young people such as Ngoako Thupana taking on this industry shows the potential that young black entrepreneurs have to be able to strive and produce high quality broiler and eggs. More and more young people are encouraged to start businesses that will be able to grow and meet the needs of its communities as this will create jobs and make the company sustainable for generations to come.
