How Sentian Aims To Improve Home Security Systems Of Its Clients

How Sentian Aims To Improve Home Security Systems Of Its Clients. Sentian is a security systems company that aims to make its client’s existing alarm system a lot more intelligent, enabling video verifications and powerful control over their  home. Sentian will install both a Sentian smart hub and high definition CCTV system, and then integrate it all into its client’s existing compatible alarm and access control.

When their alarm goes off they will be instantly sent a 12 second video. Sentian knows which CCTV camera covers the action. The video should help showcase the culprit – a neighbour’s cat jumping the wall, a pot plant blowing around in the wind, or an uninvited intruder.

Its clients might want to respond to the alarm trigger by bypassing that zone affected by the windy weather or in the case of trouble, opening the front gate, or garage door, for the armed response unit. They could then turn on their lights and watch the camera feed as the guards walk around their property. Once they’ve left, they could then re-arm the alarm and turn off their lights. It’s all possible thanks to Sentian’s seemless integrations between the Sentian 3i, their alarm, cameras and automation modules.

“I’ve lost count of the times I’ve “saved the day” by remotely opening the garage or front gate from my home to let someone in. This feature, along with the subtle phone notifications when a zone is triggered renders Sentian indispensable for me and my family.” said William Mellor, Founder & CEO 2oceansvibe Media on Sentian’s website.

“This is a brilliant system! We now know what triggers our alarm and in what zone. We’ve certainly caught the cat out a few times, but my wife and I now have so much more peace of mind since we had the Sentian system installed.” said Mike Greeff, CEO of Greeff Properties on Sentian’s website.

The company was co-founded by Trevor Lewis who is a (s)lowvelder who grew up in the Limpopo province and was schooled  in Tzaneen and Potchefstroom and Tigue Little, he grew up in the North-West province and spent most of his school years in Grahamstown. It was here, in physics class, his love of all things technical first emerged, leading him to UCT to study engineering.
