Thailand–South Africa Business Forum to Connect Local Buyers With Thai Exporters

Thailand–South Africa Business Forum to Connect Local Buyers With Thai Exporters. South African businesses will have an opportunity to explore new sourcing and trade partnerships when the Thailand–South Africa Business Matching Forum takes place in Johannesburg on 13 August 2026.
The event will bring together a delegation of export-ready Thai companies with qualified South African importers, distributors, retailers, wholesalers and hospitality buyers through a series of pre-arranged, one-on-one business meetings.
Hosted at the Southern Sun Sandton Hotel, the forum is designed to facilitate direct engagement between local buyers and Thai manufacturers and exporters, creating opportunities to discuss product sourcing, distribution agreements, retail listings and long-term commercial partnerships.
The business matching programme will feature a broad range of products from Thailand, including sauces, curry pastes and condiments, coconut products, rice, noodles and ready-to-eat meals, snacks, confectionery and beverages. Buyers will also have access to health and wellness products, food-service and private-label opportunities, as well as selected lifestyle and consumer products.
According to the organisers, the forum is intended to provide South African companies with direct access to suppliers from Thailand, allowing participants to evaluate products, negotiate pricing and explore distribution opportunities through structured business meetings.
Participation is limited and subject to buyer qualification, with organisers encouraging interested businesses to register in advance to secure a place at the event.
The Thailand–South Africa Business Matching Forum is expected to attract businesses seeking to diversify their product offerings and establish new international supply relationships. By bringing manufacturers and buyers together in a focused business environment, the event aims to support trade connections between companies from both countries.
The forum will run from 9am to 5pm on 13 August 2026 at the Southern Sun Sandton Hotel in Johannesburg, with meetings taking place in the Cullinan 1 and 2 conference rooms.
Businesses attending will have the opportunity to engage directly with Thai exporters to discuss sourcing requirements, evaluate potential products and identify opportunities for future collaboration across multiple sectors.
The event is supported by the Office of Commercial Affairs at the Royal Thai Embassy and delivered in partnership with Catalyze.
Interested buyers can register to participate through the official registration portal: https://bit.ly/4fKthf8.
The upcoming forum forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen commercial engagement between Thailand and South Africa by creating a platform where businesses can establish direct relationships, explore new product categories and identify opportunities for future trade and distribution partnerships.
