Makers Landing Opens 2026 Kitchen Incubator Applications

Makers Landing Opens 2026 Kitchen Incubator Applications. The V&A Waterfront’s Makers Landing Kitchen Incubator Programme has opened applications for its 2026 cohort, offering South African food and beverage entrepreneurs a structured pathway to grow production-focused businesses. The 12-month programme is designed for founders aiming to scale responsibly while improving operational capability and market reach.

Participants benefit from access to commercial kitchen facilities, specialised equipment and mentorship from industry professionals. The programme provides exposure to networks across the food ecosystem, connecting entrepreneurs to potential buyers, partners and funding pathways. Support also includes guidance on regulatory requirements and product development, helping small businesses strengthen compliance as they expand.

A Three-Phase Structure Focused on Measurable Growth

The programme is built around three phases, each addressing a specific stage of business development.

  • Pre-incubation (three months): Selected businesses complete capability assessments and work with mentors to refine operational and growth plans.
  • Incubation (five months): Entrepreneurs focus on improving production systems, preparing for funding opportunities and sharpening their market positioning. Brand development and regulatory alignment form part of regular progress evaluations.
  • Growth (four months): The final stage centres on market expansion, building distribution channels and reinforcing long-term sustainability frameworks.

Application Window Open Until 30 November 2025

Food and beverage entrepreneurs operating scalable production-based businesses can apply until 30 November 2025. Detailed programme requirements and application guidelines are available on the Makers Landing platform.
