Nedbank Extends Startup Banking Offer With Two Years of Zero Monthly Fees

Nedbank Extends Startup Banking Offer With Two Years of Zero Monthly Fees. Nedbank has expanded its support for early-stage entrepreneurs by extending the zero monthly maintenance fee period on its Startup Bundle account from six months to two years, giving qualifying small businesses more time to manage costs while building their operations.
The updated offering applies to sole proprietors and registered businesses with annual turnover below R1 million. Nedbank said the extension is aimed at helping startups reduce banking costs during the early stages of business development, when entrepreneurs often focus on managing cash flow and growing their customer base.
The Startup Bundle forms part of Nedbank’s small business banking offering, providing entrepreneurs with access to digital banking tools and business-focused services.
Under the revised offering, qualifying businesses will receive no monthly maintenance fees for the first two years. The account also includes 20 free digital transactions per month, free cash withdrawals and deposits within specified limits, a free business debit card for the first year, in-app notifications, and access to online and mobile business banking platforms.
Nedbank said businesses also receive relationship banking support as part of the offering.
“Early-stage entrepreneurs are refining their offering while juggling multiple roles and navigating uncertainty,” said Lindokuhle Tau, Head of Small Business Proposition at Nedbank.
Nedbank said the extended fee waiver follows engagement with entrepreneurs and feedback on the challenges faced by startups as they work towards establishing sustainable businesses.
The bank highlighted that formal business banking can assist entrepreneurs in separating personal and business finances, creating transaction histories and accessing additional financial services as their businesses develop.
The revised Startup Bundle offer forms part of Nedbank’s wider approach to supporting small businesses through financial solutions and business development resources.
Alongside its banking products, Nedbank also provides access to SimplyBiz, a business support platform available to both Nedbank and non-Nedbank entrepreneurs. The platform offers business guidance, coaching and learning resources designed to assist entrepreneurs with various aspects of running a business.
