TakealotNow expands Cape Town delivery network with 10th hub in Constantia

TakealotNow expands Cape Town delivery network with 10th hub in Constantia. TakealotNow has expanded its delivery network in Cape Town with the opening of a new hub in Constantia, bringing the service’s total number of hubs in the city to 10.
The new hub will serve customers in several Southern Suburbs areas, including Kenilworth, Constantia, Tokai, Grassy Park and Muizenberg. The expansion adds to TakealotNow’s efforts to make a wider selection of products available through on-demand delivery.
TakealotNow allows customers to order thousands of products available on Takealot through the Mr D app, with deliveries taking an average of about 40 minutes.
Unlike quick commerce services that have traditionally concentrated on groceries, TakealotNow offers a broader selection of general merchandise. Customers can order items including technology accessories, beauty and personal care products, books, toys, sporting equipment, DIY supplies, homeware and small appliances.
Karla Levick, chief marketing officer at Takealot.com, described the Constantia opening as a significant milestone for the service.
She said the 10th hub would allow TakealotNow to reach more customers in the Southern Suburbs while making a wider range of products available when needed.
TakealotNow launched in 2023 and has since expanded its hub network across South Africa, with locations in Gauteng, the Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal.
The company’s expansion comes as its service continues to cover more neighbourhoods and product categories. The range available through the platform extends beyond traditional grocery deliveries, reflecting its focus on providing access to everyday and other general merchandise through its on-demand model.
With the Constantia hub now operational, Takealot says it plans to continue expanding access to its product range and serving additional neighbourhoods through its growing network.
The latest expansion strengthens TakealotNow’s presence in Cape Town while giving customers across more Southern Suburbs communities access to the service through the Mr D app.
