Ackermans Partnership Takes Me&B Into Children’s Fashion. South African fashion brand Me&B has expanded into the children’s clothing market through a new partnership with retailer Ackermans, bringing its colourful designs to a collection covering womenswear, menswear and kidswear.
The Me&B x Ackermans range was launched at Ackermans’ Summer 2026 showcase, held at Le Grand Jardin Villa in Stellenbosch. It combines Me&B’s signature prints and vibrant colours with Ackermans’ experience in producing clothing for families.
The collection features coordinated outfits for mothers, fathers and children, as well as swimwear and accessories. Oversized floral patterns, multicoloured stripes and playful prints feature throughout the range. The individual pieces can also be styled separately, offering alternatives to matching family outfits.
The partnership marks Me&B’s first entry into kidswear. Established by mother-and-daughter duo Kelly-Grace Gibberd and Betina Swart, the label has built its identity around expressive prints, colour and self-expression.
Gibberd says extending the brand into children’s fashion provided an opportunity to introduce its design approach to a new category while continuing to create clothing for women.
Ackermans brings its expertise in children’s apparel to the collaboration, including product development, fit and comfort. Me&B contributes the creative direction and distinctive aesthetic associated with its brand.
Shaz Abass, chief executive of product at Ackermans, says the partnership combines Me&B’s colourful design approach with the retailer’s focus on quality, comfort, fit and value.
The collaboration featured prominently at Ackermans’ Summer 2026 showcase, where the retailer also presented seasonal collections across womenswear, menswear, teens and children’s clothing.
Other highlights from the seasonal ranges include dresses, coordinated sets, balloon-leg trousers and updated denim. Textured details such as crochet, fringing, beading, lace and draping also feature, alongside linen-look fabrics, summer knits and satin-look pieces.
The Me&B x Ackermans collection became available exclusively at selected Ackermans stores nationwide and online from 29 October 2026.
