COVID-19 Antibody Test Now Available At Dischem

When the corona virus first hit the world, government leaders and medical practitioners remained baffled with regards to convenient and effective mitigating measures that society at large would have to pursue in the event of contracting  COVID-19.

Leading pharmaceutical company, Dischem is set to exclusively sell covid 19 antibody tests for only R380 at their drive through testing stations.

It must be noted that the antibody covid-19 test does not actually detect the virus, as it simply locates antibodies in one’s immune system. The process of identifying the virus commences from 14 days after the said person had started showing symptoms of the corona virus.

Dischem’s national clinic manager, Lizeth Kruger stated the following:

“Given the current level of knowledge about SARS-CoV-2 antibody tests, it is important to stress that regardless of your test result, patients must continue to apply basic non- pharmaceutical interventions (hand hygiene,
social distancing and wearing of masks). “

Results will be sent via phone sms phone within 24 to 48 hours.
