Maps Maponyane Opens Up A New Buns Out Restaurant. Maps Maponyane took to Instagram to announce his new Buns Out restaurant the post read, “NEW STORE ALERT!: Buns Out 3.0 – Norwood . It’s been challenging through the pandemic for us, but we’ve been lucky to have not closed down. Instead we’ve not only opened a new one in Rosebank, but also Norwood now.”

Buns Out officially opened its doors in September 2019 in Linden (North of Jo’burg) serving a dozen burgers, including classic, veggie, gourmet, and even vegan options. Maps Maponyane also opened the second outlet of his burger joint ‘Buns Out’ in Rosebank and is now venturing into opening his third store. Buns Out restaurant opened a pop-up location in Durban, and to top it off it was named as one of the best burger joints in the world by Bloomberg.

Masego “Maps” Maponyane is a South African television presenter, actor, fashion designer, speaker, model, creative consultant, voice over artist, philanthropist and business entrepreneur. In 2015, Maponyane starred in a lead role on South African spoof comedy series The Real Jozi A-Listers, alongside fellow South African entertainers Da L.E.S, Trevor Gumbi and his best friend Tol-A$$-Mo. Maponyane is also well known for playing a lead role in the South African film Tell Me Sweet Something, alongside good friend and fellow South African actress Nomzamo Mbatha. The film was released in South African theatres on September 4, 2015.

Maps Maponyane has successfully carved an enigmatic public image. Hence not much is known about him outside of his work profile. Proving just how low-key he truly is in making business moves, Maps has been quietly exploring his passion in the world of food and beverages.
