Goethe-Institut In Partnership With Hub@Goethe Launch The VUCA@Goethe Resilience Programme For Entrepreneurs

Goethe-Institut In Partnership With Hub@Goethe Launch The VUCA@Goethe Resilience Programme For Entrepreneurs. People are living through unprecedented times in this globalised world with the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic having not only shaken and taken lives, but also threatened livelihoods and economies on a dramatic scale. Now more than ever, there is a need to support social, creative, and cultural entrepreneurs in ways that respond to their challenges. For the first time, Goethe-Institut, through the Cav’ Creative Economies Project and in partnership with Hub@Goethe, are launching an intensive 3-month virtual programme.

The VUCA@Goethe programme is geared towards helping early-stage but seasoned creative, social, and cultural entrepreneurs to build resilient operations during this changing and volatile business environment. Many people react to very challenging life experiences with a flood of strong emotions and uncertainty. Forging a path to resilience will enable entrepreneurs to withstand the challenging conditions. By framing the emerging business environment as VUCA – volatile, uncertain, changing, and ambiguous – this programme is built to assist entrepreneurs to better navigate their entrepreneurial reality, and transition from surviving to thriving.

To qualify entering this programme, people should: be a creative, cultural and/or social entrepreneur, have a legally registered entity with the CIPC, be post-revenue or early growth stage, have been operating for a minimum of 12-months, are above the age of 18 and eligible to work in the Republic of South Africa should you not be a citizen of the country, be willing to participate in a virtually gathered community of entrepreneurs and preferably have and/or can get access to a stable internet connection.

Should a candidate be selected to participate in this programme, they sign up for the following: Entrepreneur Support & Development – each business will receive one-on-one business coaching and strengths coaching alongside the cohort group coaching sessions. Virtual Entrepreneur Community – the entrepreneurs will have peer review workshops and build a virtual learning community. Resilience Stipend – each business will be given a monthly stipend for the duration of the programme.

The deadline for application is 23h59, July 26th, 2021.
