SA Entrepreneur Sandisiwe Mazibuko Shares Why She Left Corporate And Ventured Into Entrepreneurship. In an interview with The Insider SA, South African entrepreneur and fashion designer Sandisiwe Mazibuko shared why she left corporate and pursued entrepreneurship.
She said, “I really love fashion so for me to start my own business, you know I worked in corporate and I wanted to have that flexibility where I can be able to do what I love. So I decided fashion I can do it effortlessly, easily so it doesn’t feel like work really.” There are many entrepreneurs who had jobs in the corporate world, but they eventually left to pursue their passion in entrepreneurship.
Entrepreneurs are people who like having their own schedule and creating their own path so that they can maximise the efforts that they put in their passion. To do this one has to be self motivated as they will be independent and accountable to themselves. People are encouraged to pursue their passions when they become entrepreneurs because the journey is very hard and challenging and doing something that one loves will make it worthwhile as they will be doing it effortlessly.
Mazibuko is the founder of FabroSanz which is a fashion house for the stylish modern day working women with an intricate eye for beautiful garments. FabroSanz strives against all odds to achieve the level of recognition and success that it now receives, having had no success in applying for grants or funding to start and expand the business, Mazibuko relied on her marketing skills to promote her custom made designs which gave her the capital to establish FRS.
Over the past 5 years FRS has grown from unique potential, to start-up and to a fully-fledged fashion house, which has a opened doors at Mall of Africa, Johannesburg and a fully functional online shop which Mazibuko created on her own, showcasing her skills as a marketing professional and her other love for technology.
