SA Fashion Designer Thebe Magugu Announces His Collaboration With AZ Factory

SA Fashion Designer Thebe Magugu Announces His Collaboration With AZ Factory. South African entrepreneur and fashion designer Thebe Magugu took to Instagram to announce that he has collaborated with AZ Factory for his latest collection that is set to release in June 2022.

The post read, “I am so proud to present “Intersection” – my collaborative effort with @azfactory. When I began this collection, I looked at the main commonality Alber & I shared – which is the fact that both him and I are from South & North Africa respectively. I asked the question “What if ideals of ‘Haute Couture’ were actually birthed in Africa?”, and that set in motion a series of exciting thought experiments. We say luxury is defined by storytelling, communities, expert craft and the idea of lost lasting generational product – Africa has been doing that for centuries.”

The post continued to say, “I want to say thank you to the brilliant team Alber put together – it was an honour working with you all on this collection, which finds itself on the intersection of so many histories and cultures. Proud to be the houses’ first ‘Amigo’. The collection becomes available in June 2022 AT AZFACTORY.com.
