Kudoti Is A Platform That Seeks To Use Recyclable Waste To Boost The Economy. The Kudoti platform empowers anybody to buy and sell recovered waste resources by integrating its global digital network of collectors, aggregators, recyclers and brands. Co-founded by Gift Lubele, a former research engineer, Kudoti utilises hardware and software technology to enhance recycling rates and increase efficiency in the waste industry.

Using IoT sensors, Kudoti collects data which is then combined with their developed software solutions to improve waste logistics and processing. Its digital platform is extremely simple to use. Anyone of any digital literacy levels can easily sign-up and start to use its solution. It is accessible through any connected device and is ready for immediate use after the initial sign up process.

The company works with organisations on waste and recycling projects globally. Society has built highly efficient supply chains over centuries to transform resources into products, but today, the supply chain to transform products back into resources is almost non-existent. Its technology provides universal access to its circular economy network so that any entity can seamlessly interact with other entities looking to trade recyclable materials. The platform enables direct collaboration across the network, matches supply and demand of recyclable waste in real-time and effectively identifies investment needs, making recycling convenient, rewarding and profitable. Kudoti is the only digital platform that creates global participation in building a waste-free world.

The company is also participating in the Google for Start-ups Advisor program for SDGs start-ups (becoming the first start-up from South Africa to participate!). It looks forward to engaging with the amazing Google mentors as it continues to build a more circular economy globally.

Its network is made up by integrating both existing supply chains for recycling and extending the network to new supply chain participants through its highly scalable technology platform. During a virtual pitch, Lubele shared that he believes that waste is an untapped resource that Africa can get at the forefront of. “I believe in a world where waste is valued and I strongly believe that the African continent can be the next leader when it comes to the circular economy.”
