Airlink Signs A 12-month Partnership With Cricket Namibia

Airlink Signs A 12-month Partnership With Cricket Namibia. South African airline Airlink has announced that it has signed a 12-month branding and co-operation agreement with Cricket Namibia.

The agreement will see the airline support Cricket Namibia’s local and international travel arrangements and promote its brand in those markets and through broadcast exposure, including during the forthcoming Richelieu Eagles tournament to be held in Namibia.

“Namibia is an important and valuable market for Airlink and we are proud to deepen our investment in the country by going in to bat for Cricket Namibia. Cricket is all about focus, agility, tenacity and strategic placement of the ball and players. These attributes reflect Airlink’s values and its approach by providing the greatest choices, flexibility and quality service to the communities, markets and economies that it connects,” explained Airlink CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster.

The agreement was announced at Airlink’s Windhoek city office, and will run initially to 31 March 2024, with the option to extend. Airlink is a privately-owned, premium airline in South Africa, serving the largest network of 47 destinations in 14 African countries and St Helena Island. Airlink has the largest fleet of more than 65 commercial jetliners.

Besides partnering with South African company, Airlink, Cricket Namibia also has a strong association with Cricket South Africa, which helps meet its commitment to develop cricket in Africa by allowing Namibia to participate in the amateur South African Airways three-day and one-day provincial tournament. This allows Cricket Namibia to develop players at a far higher level than it would have the opportunity to do so.
