The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon Announces Its Print Media Partnership With The Cape Times. The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon has announced that it has partnered with The Cape Times as its print media partner.

The Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon, Cape Town’s most prestigious race will now be covered in-depth by Cape Town’s leading morning daily newspaper, the Cape Times. Since the first publication hit the stands in 1876, the Cape Times has entrenched itself as the primary source of reliable local and international news and leading journalism in the Western Cape region, whether in print or digital format. Liesl Van Der Schyff, Assistant Editor, Cape Times said in a statement, “As a Media title we are delighted to be partnering with such a prestigious event. We are also thrilled to see the global running community on the road again after two years. We’d like to wish the runners well in their training as they head to the big day.”

The Two Oceans Marathon is a 56 km / 35-mile ultramarathon and 21 km half-marathon held annually in Cape Town, South Africa on the Saturday of the Easter weekend. Known globally as “the world’s most beautiful marathon”, the race is run against a backdrop of spectacular scenery through the Cape Peninsula. The Two Oceans Marathon Initiative (TOMI) was launched ahead of the 2012 event, as the philanthropic arm of the Two Oceans Marathon NPC, to provide much-needed funding for charities that match Two Oceans’ four social impact pillars: Education, Environment,Health and Wellness.

Supporters of the Totalsports Two Oceans Marathon (TTOM) will be able to enjoy more TTOM-related news, information, features and interviews in this popular print title, as well as its associated social media and online channels. The cream of Cape Times’ journalists will cover TTOM 2022 during the build-up, on Race Days, and with leading athlete interviews from pre- and post-race media conferences.
