Scooter Treats – South Africa’s First Electric Scooter Delivery Company

Scooter Treats – South Africa’s First Electric Scooter Delivery Company. This is an idea that’s been connecting food and cargo delivery throughout Johannesburg. Scooter Treats is the first ever company to launch electric vehicles in the townships of South Africa and also manage to scale with other restaurants and retailers. The only delivery company in South Africa to cover 120 square kilometres of Soweto daily doing delivers.

Scooter Treats is a technology company that connects people with the best cuisine in their cities. The company does this by empowering local businesses and in turn, generate new ways for people to earn, work and live. The company was co-founded by Fezile Dhlamini, who also serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer.

Scooter Treats allows their consumers to enjoy their favourite restaurant’s food & groceries in the convenience of their home at the touch of a button, while they make their way to their destination as a pre-order, or even doing a little grocery shopping from the comfort of your home, working as an intermediary between businesses and consumers.

Scooter Treats is focused on building an electric vehicle driven eServices organisation. All electric vehicles that operate on the Scooter Treats platform are sourced from the company’s Automotive Partners. “From an operational and maintenance perspective; using an electric vehicle works. People say electrical vehicles are rich men’s toys but they’re economical and we’re contributing to a cleaner society by helping to bring down greenhouse gas emissions.” said Dhlamini in an interview with The World News.

Scooter Treats allows consumers to order food in the convenience of their home or at work when they do not have time to go buy the food themselves. The company has done over 3 000 deliveries since April 2020 and have over 1 000 users because they offer a service that is much needed in the township as most companies do not deliver in such areas. The company also supports local business by ordering food from them to deliver to customers.
