CAFSA Launches Validate4Good To Help NPOs Become Eligible For Funding

CAFSA Launches Validate4Good To Help NPOs Become Eligible For Funding. In a bid to improve its already well-established validations offering for NPOs in Southern Africa, CAFSA has launched a new online platform called Validate4Good. In helping NPOs to become compliant, Validate4Good ensures that they meet donor requirements in order to be eligible to receive much-needed local and international funds and support.

The need for Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs) to have access to funding has never been more urgent, especially as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to have a massive impact on society. Research conducted by the Charities Aid Foundation Southern Africa (CAFSA) has highlighted how many NPOs only have sufficient resources to continue their work for between six and 12 months.

One of CAFSA’s most important value propositions is our validation offering’s strict adherence to governance and compliance imperatives. “Because of the risk involved in donating money, including money laundering and fraud, we have strong controls in place to manage regulatory compliance, risk and reputation.” Gill Bates, CEO of CAFSA said on its website.

Being on the Validate4Good database provides NPOs with more credibility while helping donors to make informed decisions about their investments. It’s a win-win solution for all. Charities Aid Foundation Southern Africa (CAFSA) is an independent non-profit organisation that promotes and facilitates effective giving, volunteering and social investment. CAFSA has been represented in South Africa since 1997 and in 2000 became a registered Section 21 not-for-profit and public benefit organisation.

“This level of diligence and care has been ingrained in the fabric of our practice for decades. Through Validate4Good, we have streamlined the submission process and merged agility with compliance. In simple and innovative ways, we ensure that donors’ compliance needs are met, while providing NPOs with the critical funds necessary to assist the communities they serve.” Bates added.

While being a wholly South African organisation, the organisation is also a member of the international Global Alliance of the Charities Aid Foundation, headquartered in the United Kingdom (CAF UK). As such, we have access to CAF’s skilled professionals, intellectual capital and value model. CAF UK and the other organisations within CAF International are valued and significant contributors to the operations of CAFSA.
