SA Entrepreneur TT Mbha Details How He Grew His Real Estate Business. In an interview with DJ Sbu on the Hustler’s Corner, South African entrepreneur and real estate agent TT Mbha detailed how he grew his real estate business to be where it is today as he is the founder of Black Real Estate.
He said, “… why I took those pictures with celebrities is because I was building my social currency, social currency has a lot to do with who you associate with, whether you like it or not people judge you by who you associate with. It even gets better when those celebrities even post you, that’s equity its intangible, so for me that’s how I actually grew the Black Real Estate business, I used to sell a lot of houses to celebrities and all I would ask for them is to take a picture with my board written ‘I support Black Real Estate’. It’s an innovation that didn’t cost me much but it gave me so much equity.”
Mbha shares a lot of good advice for real estate entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs generally about being able to spot opportunities and leverage this to make their business grow. He used his access to celebrities to grow his network and brand value so that he can create a formidable reputation in the industry. Mbha didn’t just take pictures with celebrities but he also went on to build business relationships with them and now with the relationships they have built, the celebrities are how marketing his business for free to reach a lot of people.
This is something innovative from Mbha as he sought to differentiate himself from his competitors, he made sure that his real estate business got a lot of exposure through the pictures he took with the celebrities.
