How A Tragic Loss Led Andile Nonyane To Establish RDL Health

How A Tragic Loss Led Andile Nonyane To Establish RDL Health. Established in December 2021 RDL Health was born from the passion and drive of Andile Nonyane. After losing his father to a long illness, Andile’s firsthand experience of the healthcare system currently serving most South Africans was both frustrating and disappointing. This sparked a determined resolve within him to positively disrupt the system: he wanted to create access to quality healthcare within the community. Leveraging his background in property development, Andile built the flagship RDL Health Medical Centre – at home – in the heart of Atteridgeville: the Andile Nonyane Medical Centre.

Today the centre offers healthcare and medical professionals a choice of fully equipped furnished medical suites for them to build and grow their own practices in the communities they serve. End-to-end support services are part of this offering to them, enabling them to do what they do best: heal and help.

In a similar way, this calm and healing space has enabled community access to a variety of medical professionals from different disciplines (including general practice, dentistry, podiatry, among others), helping patients to better manage their medical conditions and family wellbeing, and creating a renewed trust in Healthcare. The company’s model is now being rolled-out in partnership with healthcare professionals across the region and province. Its strength lies in its ability to deliver deep care and quality expertise when and where people need it most.

RDL Health acts with due skill and care, priding itself on the way it treats its medical professional tenants and its customers – and the experience it creates for them. The company’s responsibility to uplift and sustainably effect change within the community extends full circle. This is why it hosts wellness days at its Medical Centre, schools, churches and other community spaces, offering free medical screenings.

RDL Health also extends a helping hand through its resident social worker and in partnership with local NPO organisations to collect and distribute hygiene packs including toothbrushes, facecloths and sanitary towels for young girls in the community. The company aims to live its values as it continuously looks for new services and offerings that are needed by the community, ever mindful of unlocking future possibilities and opportunities through its contribution.
