On Friday, 11 September 2020, Boity Thulo in collaboration with Halo Heritage launched her scent, Boity Pink Sapphire. The Eau De Parfum, a poetic, modern fragrance created to express the perfect harmony of sensuality and strength is a first of its kind for Halo Heritage, a brand dedicated to creating luxury beauty ranges for Africans by Africans. Boity said that the fragrance is for all women who command attention and make an entrance when they walk into the room, playing into their duality of strong and sweet. The launch for Boity Pink Sapphire was a star-studded event attended by Boity’s closest celebrity friends who shared in the excitement on social media with messages of support which further highlighted this special moment for Boity and Halo Heritage’s investment in Africans. Pearl Thusi, DJ Zinhle, Maps Maponyane and Moozlie were just a few of the celebrity guests in attendance
Boity Haircare range
Boity launched her haircare range in October 2020. Speaking on this project Boity said ” It’s been a lifelong dream to create a range of fragrances and hair care products that truly represent African women. “Now more than ever, black African women have started embracing their natural hair. But it didn’t come without struggle. Falling in love with our natural hair is a journey for many black women. Being a brand designed for powerful, modern African queens, a collaboration with Halo Heritage just felt like a natural fit.” The Boity Haircare products are said to be specially designed to protect, moisture and repair natural hair. Each product is packed with nourishing ingredients to treat your hair in the most delicate way possible. This includes Black Seed Oil, which is believed to restore hair growth naturally, Shea Butter, which has anti-inflammatory properties and Jojoba Oil, which moisturises the scalp and acts as a dandruff remedy. Jojoba is rich in vitamin E, which increases elasticity and helps revive dull, lifeless hair. It’s also rich in nourishing vitamins B & C, copper, zinc and Argan oils, which contain antioxidants.
