Droppa Strengthens Its Partnership With Global Courier Services Company Skynet Worldwide Express As It Plans Global Expansion

Droppa Strengthens Its Partnership With Global Courier Services Company Skynet Worldwide Express As It Plans Global Expansion. Droppa, an on-demand courier and fleet hire e-hailing app company has announced that global courier services company SkyNet Worldwide Express has increased its investment in the company as it plans on expanding globally. The companies first announced their partnership in 2020 and due to the success it has gained, SkyNet Worldwide Express took the decision to assist Droppa with its expansion vision by investing more into the company.

In this uniquely collaborative partnership, these two respected brands came together to provide originative platforms to support future business growth. Today’s tech savvy citizens are looking for faster innovation and ‘easy to do business’ applications. The partnership sought to help their current, mutual and future customers to increase their client base and growth. Moreover, Droppa will be able to take advantage of SkyNet Worldwide Express’s global resources and increased partner investment while SkyNet will benefit from Droppa’s best-in-class technology products and proven best practices tailored to industry needs.

Droppa launched its e-hailing app that enables clients to request a bakkie or truck to move goods or furniture from one location to another in 2016. The company does not own bakkies or trucks but has over 1 000 registered driver-partners. SkyNet South Africa brings to the partnership a network of courier hubs in South Africa, Africa and internationally – with 35 hubs countrywide and over 200 gateway cities globally. “We have been working to provide employment opportunities for bakkie and truck owners and drivers, and to focus on connecting them with clients to enable the profitability of their businesses,” says computer engineer and Droppa founder, Khathutshelo Mufamadi.

“We’ve been very aware of our user needs, and have developed a best-in-class product that is simple to use and affordable, to enable users and receivers to track their goods from pick up to drop off point.” Mufamadi continued. In addition to Droppa’s conventional offering of enabling access and connecting bakkie owners and truckers with their target audience, the solution offers enhanced offerings that include dash messenger service, flash flight services, and fleet and budget services where consumers can identify a range of fleet options available, from minivans to eight-tonners. Established in 1988, Skynet has developed a unique approach to partner with the client and continually improve the supply chain. The investment will see Skynet enhance its offering by leveraging digital innovations to expand Droppa’s reach across the globe.

“We are very excited about the investment in Droppa. Following intensive negotiations to strategically align and shape our market offerings, I am confident the investment in Droppa will help drive further business growth for both parties and allow continuous innovative business solutions that benefit our customers,” said Tommy Erasmus, CEO at SkyNet Worldwide.
