Lesaka Rebrands adumo Payouts as Fintech Group Deepens Regional Expansion

Lesaka Rebrands adumo Payouts as Fintech Group Deepens Regional Expansion. Lesaka Technologies has officially rebranded adumo Payouts to Lesaka Payouts, marking the next stage of the business’s integration into the broader Lesaka fintech ecosystem.

The rebrand follows Lesaka’s acquisition of the payouts business in October 2024 and signals closer alignment with the group’s expanding digital financial services platform across Southern Africa.

According to the company, the transition to the Lesaka Payouts identity will not affect existing services, operational systems or support structures used by clients and partners.

The business said all existing payout cards will remain fully functional until expiry, while contracts, banking details and current processes will continue unchanged.

Amelia Williams, head of Lesaka Payouts, said the rebrand reflects the company’s position within a larger fintech network while maintaining continuity for existing customers.

Williams said the business would continue offering payout and payment services while benefiting from broader technology capabilities, increased scale and wider market reach through the Lesaka group.

As part of the integration, Lesaka Payouts now operates within a fintech ecosystem that the company says serves more than 1.7 million customers and over 120,000 merchants across the region.

The group also reported annual transaction throughput exceeding R270 billion.

According to Lesaka, the integration creates opportunities for greater collaboration across consumer, merchant and enterprise services while supporting efforts linked to financial inclusion, digitisation and embedded finance.

The company said the strategic alignment will also allow Lesaka Payouts to expand its service offering over time and integrate more closely with the broader group’s fintech capabilities.

Lesaka added that the rebrand positions the business to support further innovation and deliver additional value to enterprise and corporate clients across Southern Africa.

The company currently operates across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Kenya, supported by more than 3,300 employees across the broader group.

Williams said the company’s immediate priority is ensuring continuity for existing customers while gradually introducing expanded capabilities under the Lesaka brand.

The rebrand forms part of a wider trend within the financial technology sector, where companies are increasingly consolidating platforms and services to build integrated digital ecosystems that combine payments, merchant solutions and financial services under unified brands.
