I Am Khanyi – Millennial Shimmer Gin
In November 2018, Mbau announced the launch of her own brand of gin called I Am Khanyi – Millennial Shimmer Gin. “I kept it on the low because creating a Gin is serious business, it’s not a party trick and it needs focus and concentration as this is something people will be putting in their bodies, so I had to be sure and confident about the quality of the brand before I said anything. Nicole from Copper & Malt helped me with my vision in bringing it to life. She kept me fully involved in the whole process; from the concept, design, through to which flavour profiles would work. The gin was designed specifically to suit my persona, style and personality.” Mbau told Zalebs.
2k Business Centres
Mbau finally took to social media to reveal a huge structure in Sandton, which is a business centre. “A vibrant work space in the heart of SANDTON,” reads the bio of the business page. “She is finally here!!! Please Follow @2kbusinesscentres and help me celebrate my new journey!! A promise made is a promise kept! A premium space for entrepreneurs in the heart of Sandton,” she revealed in a post on Instagram.
ZA Youth Movement
The actress has joined forces with businessman Tim Hogins to assist youth with funding for their education and finding employment and mentorship programmes. Taking to social media recently, the star of the reality television series “Mbau Reloaded, Always Rise”, announced the partnership with Hogins, the CEO of Green Outdoor Gyms, who went from being a security guard to becoming the owner of a multimillion rand recreation and wellness company. “I’ve come together with a few friends to form something called the ZA Youth Movement (ZAYM). This is where we would like to create a portal, where we can find solutions to help the youth help themselves.” Mbau told Independent Online.
