Amazi Connect Launches to Help South African Beauty Entrepreneurs Scale Their Businesses

Amazi Connect Launches to Help South African Beauty Entrepreneurs Scale Their Businesses. Amazi, a South African social impact beauty brand, has launched Amazi Connect, an initiative designed to help health and beauty entrepreneurs address operational challenges and build capacity for business growth.
Announced on 23 October 2026, the platform brings together resources and business solutions focused on procurement, skills development, business management and product sales.
The initiative draws on the experience of Amazi co-founders Divya Vasant and Sekela Lisa Mgcotyelwa, who have spent the past decade building the business. According to the company, more than 3,000 women have graduated through its skills development programmes.
Amazi Connect aims to address practical barriers that can limit the growth of small service-based businesses, including fragmented purchasing processes, skills shortages, stock management and limited revenue streams.
Its procurement offering includes ready-to-use professional treatment kits intended to simplify purchasing and help standardise treatments. The approach addresses the time and costs entrepreneurs can face when sourcing products and treatment essentials from multiple suppliers.
The initiative also focuses on recruitment and skills development, aiming to connect beauty businesses with skilled workers while providing opportunities to upskill existing employees.
For business administration, participating entrepreneurs will receive early access to Shiio, a management platform designed for beauty operators. The system brings bookings, customer information, inventory, staff commissions, payments and business insights together in one place.
Amazi Connect will also give participating businesses access to locally made Amazi Beauty products for use in treatments or direct sales, offering a potential additional revenue stream alongside service-based income.
Co-founder Vasant said reducing everyday business challenges could give entrepreneurs more capacity to focus on growth.
The initiative is based on collaboration between businesses operating in the same sector, allowing entrepreneurs to address shared operational challenges while continuing to compete for customers.
Although its solutions are aimed at health and beauty businesses, the operational issues it addresses also affect other small service-based enterprises.
Amazi Connect plans to host events where business owners can access its resources and solutions, extending its support beyond individual business operations to shared opportunities for development.
